Who we are

Trident Nutrition Manufacturing Proprietary Limited (“Trident Nutrition”, “we”, “us”) is a contract manufacturer for nutrition brands, based in Windermere, Durban, South Africa. We are the “responsible party” under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA) for personal information collected through this website.

Information Officer: [Dominique — full name], dom@tridentnm.co.za, +27 31 563 2595.

What we collect, and why

  • Enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), brand or company name (optional), product type, project stage, and anything you write in the message field — used to respond to your enquiry, set up a scoping call and manage our business relationship with you. Legal basis: your consent and the steps needed before entering a contract.
  • Direct contact: your email address and correspondence when you email or phone us — used to respond and keep a record of our dealings.
  • Website analytics: pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser type — collected via Google Analytics using cookies, only after you accept analytics cookies. This information does not identify you personally, and we do not try to make it.

We do not collect special personal information, we do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.

How long we keep it

Enquiry information is kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and, where a business relationship follows, for the duration of that relationship plus the retention periods South African law requires for business records. Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted within [24] months. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics settings ([14] months).

Who sees it

Your information is accessible to the small Trident Nutrition team who handle enquiries, and to service providers who process it on our behalf: our website hosting platform, our email provider, and Google Analytics. We share information within the Trident group only where needed to serve you. We do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Where it goes

Some of our service providers store information on servers outside South Africa. POPIA allows this where the recipient is bound by rules providing substantially similar protection — the providers we use commit contractually to recognised data-protection standards. By submitting the form you acknowledge this transfer.

How we protect it

Reasonable, appropriate technical and organisational safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site, access limited to people who need it, reputable providers, and no marketing databases built from enquiry data. If a breach ever compromises your information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time: what personal information we hold about you; to correct it; to delete it; or to stop processing it. You may withdraw consent at any time and object to processing. Contact the Information Officer at dom@tridentnm.co.za.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za, or via the eServices portal at eservices.inforegulator.org.za.

Cookies

We use one or two cookies to make the site work, and analytics cookies — only if you say yes — to understand how visitors use it. No advertising, no tracking across the web.

  • Strictly necessary — set by the website platform for security and basic function. No consent needed; cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — set only after you choose “Accept analytics”. Measures pages visited, approximate location (city), device type. Retention: [14] months. Withdraw any time via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

No advertising, remarketing or social-media cookies are used on this site.
